Ever thought that someone could make ice-cream out of Lal Mirchi? Well.. I just ate one, and totally loved it! It tastes perfectly normal when you eat it, but the spicy taste of the mirchi stays in the throat, making it a very interesting feeling.. and glad I decided to eat in that Minus 4 Natural Ice cream place after all that street-food binging I did. I had the option of eating those natural kulfis and this one, and I chose this, coz I hadn’t been there before… After all, trying new places surely helps and works! :)
In a totally unrelated note, I was pretty shocked or rather taken aback by something this weekend. I think I caught a friend cheating on his wife, and it has left me very down!
Little Italy had moved from its earlier location, which I had been in love with, to this new place which is not so good. I am yet to come to terms with the change of location and ambience of my favorite restaurant, but thankfully the food hasn’t changed.
Well.. when we were almost done with our dinner there on Saturday and a random discussion on who in S’s office is one of the biggest lechers and all, I saw this old friend of mine walk into that place, wearing a T-shirt which made a sad attempt to make him look muscular, and just when I was thinking his wife, who is also a good friend of mine would be behind him, I see a puny girl walk behind. On our way back after dinner, I stood for a split second to see if it was really him or if I was mistaken, he spotted me and got up from his hand.
After one awkward handshake, he went on to blabber.. He spoke about everything related to his job, his farewells because he was moving out of the city and that his wife is not in town and all.. everything except introducing the girl to us, which in my opinion was being pretty rude to the girl, and little weird to us! And the girl did not even make an attempt to look into each of our faces, it was like she wanted to vanish into the chair.
Probably nothing from the above paragraph suggests that he would be cheating on his wife, but the fact that I know how much of a rangeela admi he is, his flirtatious talks with me before he met his now-wife and his love story with her – all these left me shocked!
Well.. I don’t live in a world where no one cheats on their spouses, and everyone is happily in love with each other, every time I see someone I know do that, it takes sometime for my mind to adjust to the reality! After all the westernization and free-life training I gave my brain, I guess there is still some part of it, which is very traditional! And I guess… its good like it is!

I guess you handled it pretty well. I'd have probably said something rude and asked "who's this?". I can't really control my tongue if I see something I don't like..
I agree it was rude on his part not to introduce the girl to you. In my mind, it's a clear indication that he might be hiding something. Maybe you should have looked at the girl when he was talking to you, lol.
Since you know him well, you can be the best judge. I'll lose respect for a friend who cheats.
pls tell me where this mirchi ice-cream place is,, and little italy is one of my favorite places in town too, and that inspite of my love for non-vegetarian food. I love the new one also though, its at a higher ground, so its airy and really nice to look out.
would love to try that mirchi ice-cream..nice blog!!
mirchi ice cream! :-O I know of ppl having ice cream after a spicy meal, to soothe it down. and this? :P nice nice..
THe man was for sure cheating on his wife.. and cheating can never be explained as westernization. In every country and every language, cheating is a crime. Don't blame ur thoughts babe! :)
